Volunteer With RPCC

If you would like to volunteer with RPCC we are looking for ongoing volunteers for general capacity building in all areas related to our work. We also have a variety of specific, ongoing volunteer opportunities that are listed below. Please review them and determine if any are a good fit for your skills and interests.

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities

Writer/Reporter:
 Rogers Park 2000 Newspaper
Length/Time commitment: Flexible
Availability: Ongoing
Description: Improve your writing skills, gain valuable experience and get to know the Rogers Park community writing and/or reporting for quarterly community newspaper. Opportunity for exploring Rogers Park by writing about events, programs, organizations and people in the community.
Data Entry: Electronic Data Input on Database
Length/Time commitment:
Flexible 
Availability: Ongoing
Description: Updating and inputing critical electronic data in our system. 


Office Assistant: Multicultural Resource Center

Time commitment: Flexible  
Availability: Ongoing
Description: Tasks include organizing community members, canvassing neighbourhood, distributing fliers at events, assisting director and staff with program brochures and mailings, and similar work. Ideal volunteer is detail-oriented and has basic office knowledge. 


Resource Assistant: Housing Action Program
Length of commitment: Flexible
Time commitment: Minimum 2 hours/week
Availability: Ongoing
Description:Work with Housing Action Program staff to facilitate best practices among landlords and tenants. Tasks include running outreach to community members, researching local housing data, and assisting staff in case related work. Ideal volunteer is computer literate or people oriented.
